The connection between HRM function and the organization’s ability to achieve its strategic goals has been established beyond doubt. However, the role of HR Organization in leveraging this reality is more often than not impeded by lack of competent HR professionals. Managing organizational performance poses immense challenge to many HR leaders owing to poor HR talent.
Considering the projected growth of Indian economy reaching double digits, the country would need thousands of competent HR professionals to act as catalysts in enhancing growth across sectors in the coming years. With the small number of graduates from leading B Schools unable to meet the large requirement of quality HR professionals, XLRI has been exploring newer avenues and approaches to ramp up. It is against this backdrop that XLRI, arguably among the best HR Schools in Asia-Pacific region has decided to partner with SHRM India in this development journey to support capability building of HR professionals. Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) being the world’s largest HR membership organization devoted to human resource management perfectly complements the academic expertise of XLRI. With lectures imparted by eminent faculty of XLRI and Industry experts from India and abroad, this program will fill a huge void in the HR education needs in India.
The objective of the program is to deliver an integrated HR course content that will provide working professionals a comprehensive understanding of Human Resource Management and prepare them for HR Leadership roles in the global environment. The program is primarily targeted for those working professionals with some work experience in the field of HR. Managers planning career shift to HR roles or positions involving people management responsibilities will also find this programme useful.

Pedagogy

The classes for this programme will be held through LIVE lectures that will be beamed online via internet to student desktops/laptops or classrooms using Talentedge’s Direct To Device platform. The pedagogy will comprise of lectures and case discussions imparted by XLRI’s HR faculty. Select industry experts would also be included to provide practical insights. Concepts will be explained using real life and industry relevant examples.
All participants will also be granted 24X7 access to Talentedge’s Cloud Campus comprising of learning aids, study materials, reference materials, assessments, case studies and assignments etc. as per the requirement of the programme. Students can chat real time with the professors during the live class and also post all other programme related queries offline on the Cloud Campus.
Besides aiming to up-skill the participants with the advanced concepts in the field of HR, the contents of this programme have also been integrated with the SHRM Competency Model. This would also help participants desirous of applying for the SHRM certification in their preparation for certification exams, conducted independently by SHRM. Participants of this programme will also be given access to preparatory materials required for the SHRM SCP and CP certifications.

Eligibility

For Indian Participants -

  • Graduates (10+2+3) or Diploma Holders (only 10+2+3) from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government) in any discipline with minimum of 2 years of work experience in the field of HR as on date of application.
  • MBA from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government) with minimum of 1 year of work experience in the field of HR as on date of application.
  • Managers, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience planning career shift to HR roles or positions involving people management responsibilities.

For International Participants -

  • Graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized University or Institution in their respective country with minimum of 2 years of work experience in the field of HR as on date of application.
  • MBA from a recognized university or Institution in their respective country with minimum of 1 year of work experience in the field of HR as on date of application.
  • Managers, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience planning career shift to HR roles or positions involving people management responsibilities.

Assessments

There are periodic evaluations built in throughout the duration of the course. These maybe in the form of a quiz, assignment, project, case studies or other objective/subjective assessments. The evaluations are designed ensure continuous student engagement with the course and encourage learning. Participants who successfully complete the same along with the requisite attendance criteria will be awarded a Certificate of Completion in HRM by XLRI. Participants who are unable to clear the evaluation criteria but have the requisite attendance will be awarded a participation certificate by XLRI.

Certification

Those who complete all the 7 components of the Programme, based on the Assessment Process, will be awarded the Executive Certification(Completion or Participation) in HRM by XLRI. All participants of this programme will also be eligible to receive a certificate of Participation from SHRM on the completion of the programme.
